Elaina Elzinga

Elaina Elzinga, CFA, currently serves as a Trustee for the University of Cambridge, a role initiated in March 2023, and has held the position of Principal and Head of Active Manager Selection at Wellcome Trust since July 2010. Elzinga also acts as a Non-Executive Director for Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust since December 2019. Previously, a secondee at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) in 2016-2017, Elzinga focused on governance and organizational design related to UK Research & Innovation. Additional experience includes a brief secondment at Rio Tinto in environmental research and an analyst role in Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs from 2007 to 2010. Elzinga completed a Bachelor of Arts in History at the University of Cambridge from 2004 to 2007 and attended St Paul's Girls' School.
