Masumul Hassan

Masumul Hassan has a strong background in software engineering and has held various roles throughout their career.

Starting in 2018, they worked at Bit Mascot (Pvt.) Ltd. as a Junior Software Engineer, where they developed an external plugin system for an in-house e-commerce system using Grails, CakePHP 3, and React.js. Masumul also implemented custom JavaScript and CSS minify functionality using Google Closure Compiler, reducing the size of minified JS and CSS bundles by around 20%.

In 2019, they were promoted to Software Engineer at the same company, where they developed an application management system using Grails, CakePHP 3, React.js, and Bash script for managing an e-commerce system. Masumul also created a custom NGINX module for rate-limiting using C++, serving over 50k requests.

In 2020, Masumul Hassan took on the role of Senior Software Engineer at Bit Mascot (Pvt.) Ltd. Here, they developed an event booking management system with video calling using CakePHP 4, Grails, and Jitsi Meet, catering to over 10k users. Masumul also added new moderation functionality in Jitsi Meet using Java, Lua, and React.js. Additionally, they developed a webhook endpoint application for a legacy system using Grails and MySQL.

Currently, they are employed at ReliSource as a Software Engineer, where they have been since 2021. Masumul has developed integration software to migrate around 30k+ clinical trial data per month between different clinical trial systems using .NET Core. Masumul has also developed a service to migrate existing users to SSO using .NET.

Masumul Hassan completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology from 2015 to 2018. Masumul is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Information Systems Security at the Bangladesh University of Professionals, expected to be completed in 2023. Additionally, they have obtained the certification CS001x from edX, although the month and year of obtaining the certification are not specified.
