Neil Wheaton

Neil Wheaton has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Neil is currently working as a Senior Director of Engineering at Wellframe since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Meta from May 2019 to January 2023 as an Engineering Manager, where they played a crucial role in reducing privacy risk and bugs, scaling the ads business, and improving request latency.

Before their time at Meta, Neil held the role of Director at TripAdvisor from July 2013 to March 2019. Neil then moved on to Vistaprint, where they served as the Director of Architecture from September 2005 to June 2013. During their tenure at Vistaprint, Neil managed multiple platform development teams and provided technical oversight to software engineers.

Prior to Vistaprint, Neil worked at Evare, LLC as an Architect from 2002 to 2005, and at Merrill Lynch, ITG as an Application Architect from 1999 to 2002. Neil also had earlier roles as a Software Engineer at D.E. Shaw & Co., FarSight from 1997 to 1999, and at Monitor Company, Decision Architects from 1994 to 1997. Neil began their career as a Consultant at Monitor Company from 1989 to 1991.

Neil Wheaton holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science, which they earned at Stanford University from 1992 to 1994. Prior to their postgraduate studies, they completed their undergraduate education at Dartmouth College from 1985 to 1989, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics. Neil's secondary education took place at Haddam-Killingworth High School from 1981 to 1985. In terms of additional certifications, they recently completed a course titled "34 Things to Know about Carbon and Climate" at LinkedIn, although the year of completion is unspecified.
