David Velasco

David Velasco has over 30 years of experience in corporate finance and business valuation. David began their career in 1983 as the Director of International Business Development at USWEST International. In this role, they were responsible for finance team leadership, business case development, business valuation and shareholder impact, board approval, contract negotiation, and project team leadership. David then served as the Senior Cash Manager and Finance Manager, managing the daily liquidity of USWC and providing advice to the CFO of USWEST, Inc. related to business acquisitions and ventures.

In 1996, David Velasco became the President and Principal Advisor of Strategic Valuation Associates, LLC (SVA). At SVA, they provided corporate finance and business valuation services, including strategy development/integration, transaction and business advisory/consultation, finance team leadership, project team leadership, and company growth management services.

Most recently, they have been the Chief Financial Officer of Wellin5 and Therachat since 2022. In this role, they are focused on investor fund raising for the companies, which provide online counseling and post-therapy support to clients and therapists in the US and Canada.

David Velasco obtained their MBA from the University of Denver in 1988, majoring in Executive Management. David obtained their B.Sc. from Colorado State University in 1982, majoring in Finance, Economics, and Real Estate. David also obtained a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) certification from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) in 2010.
