Ricardo D. Ramirez, OTD, OTR/L, QMHP, serves as an Assistant Professor and Occupational Therapist in the Inpatient Behavioral Health unit at RUSH University Medical Center since August 2020, while also taking on PRN roles at UI Health. Ramirez has extensive experience in occupational therapy, focusing on acute care and behavioral health, and has developed culturally-tailored programs for Spanish-speaking Latinx cancer survivors. A graduate of the University of Illinois Chicago with a Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree, Ramirez has contributed to various research initiatives, including a randomized control trial for multiple sclerosis patients and health justice programs for people with disabilities.
