David Stevens

David Stevens has a diverse work experience in the legal field. David currently holds the position of Senior Vice President, Compliance and Associate General Counsel at WellSky since 2022. Previously, they worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City where they held various roles, including Chief Privacy Officer and Department Vice President of Governance, Risk, and Compliance. During their time at Blue KC, they were responsible for developing and implementing strategic visions relating to governance, risk, compliance, and payment integrity/SIU functions. David also played a key role in cross-functional initiatives such as information technology system selection, COVID business continuity, and regulatory compliance taskforce. Before their tenure at Blue KC, they served as a Senior Associate General Counsel and Director of Privacy and Records Management. David also worked as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Kansas and began their career as an Associate at Spencer Fane Britt & Browne.

David Stevens completed their undergraduate education at The University of Kansas from 1992 to 1996, earning a degree in English & Humanities. David then pursued their law degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, graduating with a Doctor of Law (JD) from 2002 to 2005.
