Joy Jones

Joy Jones has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Joy currently holds the position of Chief Learning Officer at WellSpan Health since 2022. Before that, they served as the Executive Director Employee Experience at Cleveland Clinic from 2011 to 2023, where they launched an innovative Experience Office and led the design and delivery of programs and services across multiple facilities. Prior to that, they held various roles at Cleveland Clinic, including Senior Director, Culture & Onboarding and Organizational Effectiveness Consultant & Senior OE, Global Leadership & Learning Institute.

Before joining Cleveland Clinic, Joy worked as the Manager of Training & OD at STERIS from 2008 to 2010, where they designed and delivered leadership training and organizational development initiatives. Joy also worked at KeyBank as the Learning Analytics Manager & Sr. Business Training Manager from 2005 to 2008, leading the implementation of a new Learning Management System and managing a team of 9.

Joy's career also includes a role as the Director of Human Resources at The Centers for Families and Children from 2003 to 2004, where they oversaw HR operations and benefit administration. Joy previously served as the VP Training & Organizational Development at National City Bank from 1998 to 2003, managing a large team and establishing operational guidelines. At Nestlé, Joy worked as the Manager of Leader Development in 1996.

Overall, Joy Jones has extensive experience in learning and development, employee experience, organizational effectiveness, and human resources.

Joy Jones completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Career & Human Resource Development with a concentration in OD at the Rochester Institute of Technology from 1990 to 1993. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing from the same institution, from 1987 to 1990. Additionally, Joy has acquired several certifications throughout their career, including Change Leadership from Guidehouse in 2021, Group 1 Required for all researchers registering with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation from CITI Program in 2021, and Interaction Management from DDI | Development Dimensions International in 2016, among others.
