Charity Owens Mahaffey

Charity Owens Mahaffey serves as the Acute Care Director at WellStone since September 2014, overseeing the Reid House, a partial hospitalization program for adults with serious mental illness. Prior experience includes roles as an Acute Care Therapist at Aletheia House from October 2012 to April 2014 and as a Mental Health Therapist at Cullman Area Mental Health Authority from December 2010 to October 2012, where individual therapy and in-service training for staff were provided in a nursing home setting. Charity Owens Mahaffey holds a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration from Southern New Hampshire University (2019-2022), a Master's degree in Professional Counseling from South University (2007-2010), and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The University of Alabama (2002-2007).
