Kevin Russell

Kevin Russell, CISM, CISSP, has a diverse work experience in the field of IT security. Kevin started their career as a Systems Engineer at Haverstick Consulting, where they worked on various projects for Fortune 500 companies and Indiana's top companies. Kevin then moved on to become an IT Manager at the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, where they successfully managed the IT merger of three state agencies and implemented security measures for Indiana's Student Information System. After that, Kevin worked as a Senior IT Security Engineer/Consultant at Bit Forensics LLC. Kevin later joined Atos, where they held roles such as Senior Security Engineer/Architect and Director of Technology Management (Cybersecurity). At Atos, they led cross-functional teams, managed large-scale cybersecurity programs, performed penetration testing, and implemented a wide range of cybersecurity tools and services for clients. Currently, Kevin is an Associate Vice President of Cybersecurity & Infrastructure at Welltower Inc. Kevin'sexpertise includes leadership, vulnerability management, penetration testing, perimeter services, cloud security program management, and public cloud security architecture and solutions.

Kevin Russell, CISM, CISSP holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Indiana University Indianapolis, which was obtained from 2010 to 2013. In addition to their degree, they have acquired several certifications, including Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) from ISACA in 2016, CISSP from (ISC)² in 2013, and various other certifications such as CEH, CHFI, CCNA, and MCSE, obtained from 1998 to 2008.
