Mikael Pettersson has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies.
In 2010, they began their career as a Summer Intern at ABB, where they worked for two consecutive summers until 2012.
In 2013, Mikael became the Manager of Exhibition at Medieteknikdagarna 2014, a position they held until May 2014.
Mikael then joined Saab as a Summer Intern in the image processing section, where they worked on C++ programming and 3D optimization from June to August 2014.
In 2015, Mikael took on a Master Thesis role at Toyota Material Handling Europe, focusing on the impact of augmented reality support in warehouse trucks.
Later in 2015, they started at Combitech AB as a Graphics Engine Developer, primarily working with C++ in a project for Saab AB. Mikael focused on geodata handling, OpenGL3+, and realtime network interface development until December 2017.
From 2018 to 2019, Mikael was a Graphics Engine Developer at Saab, responsible for the development of the Saab image generator software for the Saab Gripen simulator, including programming in C++ with OpenGL 3.3+ and geodata handling.
Starting in 2019, Mikael joined Linköping University as a Research Engineer, working on research projects until January 2022.
In 2022, Mikael joined Wematter as a 3D Algorithm Developer, a position they currently hold.
Mikael Pettersson obtained their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Media Technology from Linköping University, where they studied from 2010 to 2015.
