Malcolm Rosenson has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Malcolm started their career as a Physician, specializing in Infectious Disease, at Wentworth Douglass Hospital in 1995. Malcolm then took on the role of Chairman of the Department of Medicine in 2005 and became the Chief Quality and Safety Officer in 2012, both at the same hospital. Prior to working at Wentworth Douglass Hospital, they were an Infectious Disease Consulting Physician at Seacoast Infectious Disease Associates from 1995 to 2005. Before that, they were an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Louisiana State University School of Medicine from 1993 to 1995.

Malcolm Rosenson completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology at Tulane University in 1977. Malcolm then pursued their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center from 1977 to 1981. Following this, Malcolm undertook their Internal Medicine Residency Program at New England Deaconess Hospital (currently Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital)- Harvard Medical School from 1981 to 1984. Malcolm later became the Chief Medical Resident at the same institution from 1984 to 1985. Finally, Malcolm completed a Fellowship in Infectious Disease Medicine at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center from 1985 to 1987.
