Moustapha Ben Barka

Moustapha Ben Barka is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Vice Président at Banque Ouest Africaine de Développement since March 2020. Moustapha has held several significant roles, including Secretary General and Deputy Secretary General at the Office of the President of the Republic of Mali from February 2015 to February 2020, and Minister of Industry and Investment Promotion as well as Minister Delegate for Promoting Investment in the Government of Mali from September 2013 to January 2015. Prior to these roles, Moustapha was a Director and invested banking manager at Blackpearl Finance, where responsibilities included managing client relationships and overseeing various financial transactions. Moustapha's career began at the National Bank of Canada, where auditing and analysis of financial markets were primary duties. Moustapha holds an Executive MBA in Financial Services and several other degrees, including a Bachelor in Finance and International Business from HEC Montréal.
