Jane Funk has a strong background in finance and accounting with extensive experience in the banking industry. Jane started their career at McGladrey & Pullen, LLP in 1991, where they served as an Assurance Director specializing in Financial Institution Services. During their time there, they provided accounting and financial reporting guidance, including SEC reporting.
In 2010, Jane joined North Central Bancshares, Inc. and First Federal Savings Bank of Iowa as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, they were responsible for managing the accounting department and providing leadership, training, and supervision within the department. Jane also handled finance, accounting, reporting, taxes, budgeting, recruiting, and training staff, as well as maintaining relationships with independent auditors, audit committee, and other service providers. Jane held this position until 2012.
Following their tenure at North Central Bancshares, Jane worked at Bank Iowa as a Controller from 2012 to 2014, before moving on to West Bank. At West Bank, they initially served as the Controller and Senior Vice President from 2014 to 2021. Jane then assumed the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in October 2021.
