Rebecca Wilshire

Rebecca Wilshire is an accomplished professional in children's social care with extensive experience in leadership roles across various councils. Currently serving as Service Director for Children’s Social Care at West Berkshire Council since June 2024, Rebecca previously held the position of Director of Children’s Services (interim) at West Northamptonshire Council from September 2022 to May 2024. Additional leadership roles include Director of Children’s Social Care and Deputy Chief Executive at Doncaster Children’s Services Trust, as well as strategic positions at Coventry City Council and Rutland County Council. Rebecca has contributed to peer reviews for the LGA since October 2014 and possesses a solid educational foundation in management and counseling, including a Level 5 qualification in Management and Leadership.
