Ramesh Chintala has over 25 years of work experience in the field of water resources engineering and planning. Ramesh is currently serving as the Vice President at WEST Consultants, Inc. since January 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Atkins North America, Inc., member of the SNC Lavalin Group as a Project Director in the Public & Private Business Unit from September 2014 to January 2019. Ramesh also held the role of Regional Stormwater Manager at Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. from January 2013 to August 2014. Ramesh worked at Michael Baker Corporation for several years in various roles including Program Manager for Water Resources Services, Manager of the Regional Management Center VI, and Department Manager of Water Resources Engineering and Planning. Ramesh began their career as a Senior Hydraulic Engineer at WEST Consultants, Inc. and also worked as a Project Engineer at Nathan D. Maier Consulting Engineers.
Ramesh Chintala pursued their education with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Civil Engineering from Delhi University, which they completed between 1985 and 1991. Following this, they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Environmental Science (Water Resources) and Geology from Baylor University, studying from 1991 to 1996. In addition to their formal education, Ramesh Chintala has obtained several certifications including Certified Floodplain Manager from the Association of State Floodplain Managers, Inc. (ASFPM), Texas Chapter; Diplomate Water Resources Engineer from the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers, ASCE; Licensed Professional Engineer from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers; and Registered Professional Civil Engineer from the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists.
