Ricardo Aguirre

Ricardo Aguirre has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Ricardo is currently the Director of Land Management and Water Security at WEST Consultants, Inc., where they focus on developing a land management service line using nature as a model for managing stormwater. Prior to this, Ricardo founded Holistic Engineering and Land Management, Inc. (HELM) in 2014, which offers alternative approaches to traditional civil engineering drainage projects. Ricardo also worked as a National Hardscape Engineer at Oldcastle and as the Director of Stormwater Engineering at Coe & Van Loo Consultants. Ricardo's early career includes roles as a Water Resources Engineer at Rick Engineering Company and a Project Engineer at Cowhey Gudmundson Leder, Ltd. Ricardo holds a master's degree in civil engineering and is a licensed professional civil engineer in multiple states. Ricardo's extensive experience and expertise make him a valuable asset in the field of land management and water resources.

Ricardo Aguirre completed their Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Arizona from 1990 to 1995. Ricardo further pursued their academic aspirations by obtaining a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they completed between 1995 and 1997.
