Joyce Wagenaar

Joyce Wagenaar is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Since June 2021, Joyce has served as the Director of Communications at West Fraser and has simultaneously held the position of Vice-Chair on the Board of the Learning Disabilities Society since May 2021. Prior to these roles, Joyce was a Principal Consultant in Communications and Public Consultation from July 2018 to January 2022 and the Director of Market Outreach at Forestry Innovation Investment from April 2015 to July 2018. Joyce's earlier experience includes serving as the Director of Corporate & Marketing Communications at FortisBC from 2001 to March 2015. Joyce holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Simon Fraser University, along with certifications in public participation from the International Association of Public Participation and digital marketing from RED Academy.
