Kathy Hamer

Kathy Hamer currently serves as the Deputy Mayor for the Municipality of McDougall since November 2022 and has been a Telemedicine Coordinator at West Parry Sound Health Centre since May 2004. In the role of Telemedicine Coordinator, Kathy Hamer connects patients with specialists, eliminating the need for long travel for appointments. Kathy Hamer possesses a comprehensive nursing background, having worked in various capacities including emergency department, intensive care unit, and nursing supervisor. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Laurentian University, a Critical Care Certificate from Durham College, a Diploma in Nursing from Northern College, and advanced training in Oncology Nursing and Gerontology from Alberta Health Services and Selkirk College, respectively.
