Ryan Metz

Ryan Metz has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ryan'smost recent position was with West Pharmaceutical Services, where they served as the VP, Associate General Counsel, and ESG Lead. In this role, they were responsible for various legal and corporate governance duties, including overseeing the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Corporate Responsibility Program and providing legal leadership on securities and compliance matters. Additionally, they served as Acting General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for a period of time. Prior to their role at West Pharmaceutical Services, Ryan held the position of Vice President, Global Compensation & Human Resources Shared Services, where they developed and implemented strategies for compensation, benefits, and HR management on a global scale. Before that, they served as the Benefits & Employment Practices Associate Counsel for the same company. Earlier in their career, Ryan worked at law firms such as Dechert LLP, Blank Rome LLP, and Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, where they specialized in employee benefits, executive compensation, and tax law. Ryan also gained experience as a judicial intern for Hon. Norma L. Shapiro in the US Courts.

Ryan Metz has a JD from the University of Pennsylvania, obtained from 1996 to 1999. Prior to that, they earned a BA with Distinction in a double major of History and Environmental Science from the University of Virginia, studying from 1992 to 1996. In 2014, they received an Advanced Senior Human Resources Executive Program Certificate from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Metz completed high school at Owen J. Roberts High School in 1992, earning a diploma.
