Jewel Williams Johnson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in political advocacy, healthcare administration, and fundraising. Currently serving as a Legislator for District No. 8 with the Westchester County Board of Legislators since January 2022, Jewel has previously held significant roles such as Training Programs & Credentialing Manager at Columbia University Medical Center, overseeing the Department of Orthopedic Surgery's training initiatives from June 2014 to February 2022. Additionally, Jewel has demonstrated leadership as President of the Westchester Black Women's Political Caucus, Inc. for multiple terms and has contributed to mental health initiatives as Assistant Director of the Minority Psychiatry Program at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. Jewel’s background also includes program coordination in pediatric psychiatry at Columbia University and development roles at Blythedale Children's Hospital and Breast Cancer Alliance. Academic credentials include studies at the University at Buffalo and Baruch College.
