Kelli R. Brown

Kelli R. Brown is the current Chancellor at Western Carolina University. Kelli has held many notable positions at various universities throughout their career.

Brown began their career as a professor of community and family health at the University of South Florida in 1996. In 2007, they became the interim dean of the College of Health and Human Performance at the University of Florida, a position they held until 2013. That year, they became the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Georgia College & State University, where they worked until 2016.

In July 2016, Brown became the interim president at Valdosta State University, a position they held until January 2017. Kelli then accepted their current position as Chancellor at Western Carolina University.

Brown has made many significant contributions to the field of health and education throughout their career. Kelli is an accomplished leader and administrator, and their work has helped improve the lives of countless students and faculty members.

Kelli R. Brown earned their Doctor of Education from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Kelli holds a Master of Education in Public Health from The University of Toledo, as well as a Master of Science in Public Health from the same institution. Her undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Services from The University of Toledo. Kelli also has an Associate in Applied Sciences in Dental Hygiene/Hygienist from Michael J. Owens Technical College, Toledo, OH.
