Lorraine Lopez is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in homelessness prevention and access to housing justice. Currently serving as a Senior Attorney at Western Center On Law & Poverty since May 2021, Lorraine previously held the role of Supervising Staff Attorney in the Homelessness Prevention Law Project at Public Counsel and served as Supervising Attorney for the Coordinated Attorney Team at Neighborhood Legal Services. Lorraine's legal career began as a Law Clerk at the Eviction Defense Network, a nonprofit focused on housing rights, and includes a significant tenure at Inner City Law Center, where Lorraine supervised the Homelessness Prevention Project. Lorraine holds a Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice/Psychology from the University of Illinois Chicago.
