Joshua Smutka

Joshua Smutka has over 17 years of experience in the field of engineering, primarily focused on testing and system integration of HDD and SSD technologies. Currently serving as the System Integration Test Customer Team Lead at Western Digital since January 2014, Joshua supervises a team of engineers and is responsible for generating test status reports and conducting integration testing in DellEMC storage systems. Prior to this role, Joshua worked as a Test Engineer at HGST, a subsidiary of Western Digital, where responsibilities included building Linux network servers, writing scripts for customer HDD/SSD configurations, and executing integration tests in various IBM systems, along with debugging interface issues. Joshua holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of North Dakota.
