Christian McMurray

Sr. Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Western LNG

Christian McMurray has held a variety of roles in the legal, energy, and business sectors since 2000. From 2000 to 2006, they were a Project Manager at Asia Southern Imports, responsible for product development and launch of new business lines. During this time, they also held law clerk roles at the U.S. Department of Justice and the Department of Veterans Affairs. From 2006 to 2011, McMurray was an Associate at Brickfield Burchette Ritts & Stone (now Holland & Knight), assisting rural electric cooperatives and public power municipalities with financing and developing electric generation resources. From 2011 to 2014, they were Managing Counsel at Oxy, providing strategic legal advice to the company. From 2013 to 2014, McMurray was an Adjunct Professor of Law at both George Washington University and American University Washington College of Law. In 2022, they began their current role as Sr. Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Western LNG LLC, where they are responsible for guiding various acquisitions, divestitures, investments, and infrastructure developments.

Christian McMurray attended Governor's School for Government and International Studies from 1994 to 1998. Christian then attended William & Mary from 1998 to 2002, graduating with an A.B. in Government and Economics. Christian then attended American University Washington College of Law from 2004 to 2007, graduating with a J.D. in Law. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from the District of Columbia, U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, U.S. Supreme Court, and Virginia.
