Michael Hixon

Michael Hixon has over 20 years of work experience in the insurance industry. Michael worked at Western Mutual Insurance Group as Vice President of Underwriting & Rating, where they were responsible for managing underwriting and rating processes. Prior to that, they were a Regional Manager of Marketing and Rating at the same company. Before joining Western Mutual, Michael worked at American Reliable Insurance Company as part of their marketing team. Michael also worked at American Reliable (Assurant) as a Catastrophe Management Analyst. Michael's early career included roles at Assurant, where they served as Manager of Exposure Management, Risk Management/Reinsurance Analyst, and Product Development Analyst. Michael also worked at BIRDVIEW Technologies as an Account Executive and at Farmers Insurance as a Marketing Consultant and Underwriting Specialist. Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated expertise in CAT modeling, exposure management, reinsurance data support, and product development. Michael is skilled in using software such as RiskLink and SQL server for data analysis.

Michael Hixon completed their Bachelor's degree in Italian from Brigham Young University between 1985 and 1991. Michael then pursued their MBA in Marketing from California Lutheran University between 1994 and 1996.
