Kelsey Mummert is an experienced environmental professional currently serving as the Lawn Conversion Program Coordinator at The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy since July 2017. In this role, Kelsey coordinates the Pennsylvania Lawn Conversion Program, aimed at transforming lawns into forest and meadow areas statewide. Previous positions include Chesapeake Bay Community Engagement Specialist and Riparian Buffer Technician at Yellow Breeches EMS Inc. Additionally, Kelsey worked as an EMT-B and served in various environmental roles, such as Natural Resources Specialist and Land Stewardship Assistant. Kelsey holds a Master of Science in Biology from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a focus on Ecology and Environmental Biology from the same institution. Kelsey also completed non-credit training as an Emergency Medical Technician at HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College.
