Susan P. Matheson

Susan P. Matheson serves as the Senior Financial Manager at Western Piedmont Council of Governments since July 2023. Prior to this role, Susan held positions as a Regional HR Specialist for the State of North Carolina and as an Executive Ministry Assistant at Carmel Baptist Church. Additional experience includes serving as an Interim Recruiter at Blackboard and a Senior HR Consultant Risk Manager for Catawba County Government. Susan's earlier roles include Main Street Coordinator for the City of Kings Mountain and Administrative Services Manager for Town of Stallings Police Department, where Susan worked from 2003 to 2019. Susan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Business and Behavioral Sciences from Liberty University, an Associate's Degree in Business from Central Piedmont Community College, and a High School Diploma from East Mecklenburg High School.
