John Moore

John Moore, P.E., M.ASCE has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Their most recent role is as the Vice President at Western Refining, beginning in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Marathon Petroleum Corporation from 2018 to 2023, where they held positions as the Environment, Health and Safety Manager and Environmental Supervisor. From 2012 to 2018, they served as the Environmental Manager at Sinclair Wyoming Refining Company, where they were responsible for managing all environmental aspects of a mid-sized refinery. Before that, from 2001 to 2012, John worked at Trihydro Corporation as a Team Leader and Project Manager. John began their career as a Production Leadman at Black Butte Coal Company from 1995 to 2001 and as a Survey Crew Chief at JFCo from 1993 to 1995. John also has experience in other industries, including a role as a House Parent at Masonic Home For Children from 1992 to 1993 and in the food service department at Dodge County Memorial Hospital from 1991 to 1992. Prior to that, they worked as a Land Surveyor at CCI from 1989 to 1991.

John Moore, P.E., M.ASCE has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Wyoming. John also attended Western Wyoming Community College with a focus on pre-medicine/pre-medical studies and Midland University for social studies teacher education. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Professional Engineer from the State of North Dakota and the State of Wyoming, obtained in 2010 and 2009 respectively.
