Clare Valentine

Clare Valentine is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in energy policy and clean energy advocacy. Currently serving as a Senior Policy Advisor at Western Resource Advocates since December 2023, Clare focuses on policies to decarbonize Colorado’s electricity sector. Previous roles include Senior Energy Policy Advisor for the City and County of Denver, where leadership in regulatory proceedings advanced reliable, equitable carbon-free energy initiatives. Clare has also contributed significantly as a Flexible Grid Analyst at Western Resource Advocates and as a Senior Analyst at E Source, providing research and consultation on demand-side management. Clare holds a Master of Engineering in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from Whitman College.
