Dr. Lydia Schumann

Dr. Lydia Schumann (geb. Steffens) currently serves as a Quality Manager at Westfalen AG since July 2023. Prior to this role, Dr. Schumann was a Project Manager in Pharmaceutical Analytics at Nuvisan from April 2022 to June 2023. Dr. Schumann completed a PhD candidacy in microbiology at Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, focusing on autotrophic CO2 fixation in extremophiles, from October 2018 to March 2022. Earlier experience includes a tutor position at Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, a student internship at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with research on lipoate protein ligases, and a research assistant position at the Max-Planck-Institut für molekulare Biomedizin. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Microbiology from The University of Bonn and a Bachelor of Science in Biosciences from the University of Münster.
