Dianna Berry

Science Teacher at Westhampton Beach UFSD

Dianna Berry, PhD, serves as a New York State Master Teacher and Research Scientist at Stony Brook University since July 2014, focusing on molecular techniques to explore the genetic basis of harmful algal blooms and the environmental impacts on gene expression in larval scallop development. Currently, Dianna also participates as a Regeneron STEM Teaching Fellow since May 2022, contributing to the STEM Leadership Center's collaborative initiatives. Additionally, Dianna has been a Science Teacher at Westhampton Beach UFSD since September 2016. Prior experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Research Assistant at Stony Brook University. Dianna holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Stony Brook University and a BS in Chemistry from Gettysburg College, along with an Endeavor STEM Leadership Certificate.
