Marcus Åkerström

Marcus Åkerström has a diverse work experience in the nuclear energy industry. Marcus spent the most recent years at Westinghouse Electric Company, where they held several roles including Regional Account VP for Eastern and Northern Europe. Prior to that, they served as the Director of QEHS Sweden and Vice President of QEHS for the EMEA region. Marcus also worked as a Director for GFS EMEA Products and Nordic Operating Plant Services at Westinghouse Electric Company. Before joining Westinghouse, Marcus was the President of WesDyne Sweden AB. Marcus has also held managerial positions at Vattenfall and Vattenfall Power Consultant, focusing on nuclear energy development and market sales. Marcus started their career as a Product Manager for Nordic Outage Services at Westinghouse Electric Company.

Marcus Åkerström earned a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Luleå University of Technology from 1993 to 1997. Marcus also obtained an M.Sc in Energy Management and Systems Technology/Technician during the same time period.
