Ray Laplante

Ray Laplante has extensive experience in the chemical and polymer industries, currently serving as the Director of PE Business and the Director of Technology at Westlake since December 2006. In this role, Ray manages R&D, product development, product regulatory affairs, intellectual property, process technology, and technical services engineering. Previously, Ray held various positions at Westlake Chemical as Director of Engineering & Operations and Plant Manager for Longview, TX, and served as Polyethylene Technology Manager at Ingenia Polymers. Prior roles include Global Commercialization Manager and HDPE Product Manager at Chevron Chemical, as well as several engineering roles at Exxon Chemical and Borg Warner Chemical. Ray holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is a member of the University of Massachusetts Advisory Board for the College of Engineering.
