Stephen Wilson has extensive work experience in IT compliance and risk management. Stephen has held various roles at different companies, including Westlake, Gexa Energy, El Paso Corporation, Tenneco, BISYS Inc., ISACA - Houston Chapter, and Texas Commerce Bancshares. Throughout their career, Stephen has been responsible for overseeing Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance initiatives, providing consultative services on risk and controls, and ensuring consistent documentation and testing of controls. Stephen has also managed IT audits, conducted IT risk assessments, developed risk management processes, and trained personnel on risk assessment and plan development. Stephen has a strong background in IT controls, audit, and governance, and has contributed to the development of methodologies, policies, and procedures in their roles.

Stephen Wilson attended Sam Houston State University, where they obtained a BBA degree in Finance. Stephen later pursued an MBA degree in Finance at the same university. In addition, they obtained several certifications including the Certified Internal Auditor, the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), the Certified Fraud Examiner, the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), the Certified Information Systems Auditor, and the Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA). The Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification was obtained in January 1998, while the rest were obtained in November 1998 and February 1990. The institutions responsible for these certifications include The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and the Information Systems Audit & Control Association.
