Guilherme Paiva

Guilherme Paiva has a range of work experience in the IT field. Guilherme started their career as an IT Computer Technician at Fundação Liberato, where they provided technical support and maintenance for hardware and software. Guilherme then worked as a Network/System Administrator at Definitiva Informática, managing network infrastructure and systems.

In 2012, Paiva joined Aotal APAC Ltd. as a System Administrator and Network Engineer, where they continued to handle network administration and system maintenance for several years. Guilherme then transitioned to Ambit as an Infrastructure Engineer, focusing on improving and automating AWS infrastructure and services. Paiva collaborated closely with the DevOps team to ensure smooth operations and environment availability.

Paiva further expanded their expertise as a Cloud Platform Engineer at Westpac New Zealand, where they played a crucial role in the governance and management of the company's cloud environment. Guilherme worked extensively with AWS Control Tower and utilized various resources such as Config rules, Lambda, IAM Roles, and Policies. Additionally, Paiva was responsible for authentication, cross-account management, and tagging policies.

Most recently, Paiva worked as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Mitre 10 (New Zealand) Limited, contributing their skills to the development and improvement of DevOps processes.

In 2023, Paiva returned to Westpac New Zealand as a Cloud Chapter Lead, taking on a leadership role in the company's cloud initiatives and strategies.

Guilherme Paiva obtained a Diploma in IT with a focus on Database and Network from NTEC in the year 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Security Information from Unisinos in 2009. In terms of additional certifications, Guilherme has various certifications, including "Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect - Associate" from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2023, "Awards and Recognition 2022 - SAP No-Code Challenge Winner" from SAP in 2022, "Azure Fundamentals" from Microsoft in 2021, and several others.
