James Wilson

James Wilson is a Senior Platform Engineer at Westpac New Zealand since August 2022, focusing on scaling Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Cloud Native tooling within the Containerisation Squad. Prior to this role, James served as a Senior Cloud Ops Engineer and Cloud Engineer at CCL from August 2020 to August 2022, and held multiple positions over a twelve-year tenure at Revera, including Cloud Solutions Engineer and Linux System Engineer. Early career experiences include roles at LIC as a Unix Contractor, Bupa as a Web Infrastructure Engineer in London, I Want One Of Those as a System Engineer, and Concord Technologies as an Electronics Tech and System Engineer. James holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computers & Electronics from Wintec - Waikato Institute of Technology, earned between 1996 and 1999.
