Kousik Ganguly

Kousik Ganguly is an experienced data strategy leader with a significant background in data analytics, architecture, and management across various industries. Currently serving as the Head of Data Analytics Strategy and Acting Chief Data Analytics Officer at Westpac since November 2021, Kousik is responsible for enhancing customer outcomes through strategic data initiatives and the adoption of AI capabilities. Previously, Kousik held key roles at Optus, Accenture, and Amadeus IT Group, where responsibilities included leading data strategy, engineering, and advanced analytics practices. With a career spanning over two decades, Kousik has developed expertise in Big Data, information management, and data governance, contributing to the modernization and democratization of data across organizations. Kousik holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University and educational credentials from Ramakrishna Mission Residential College Narendrapur and St Xavier School Durgapur.
