Jose Luis Blasco has extensive work experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on engine control systems and project management. Jose Luis began their career as a Research Engineer at the Instituto Nacional de Tecnica Aeroespacial (INTA), where they led a project on developing pedestrian protection systems. Jose Luis then joined Renault Samsung Motors as an Engine Control Engineer, where they were responsible for calibration and programming of ECUs for petrol engine cars. After that, they worked at the European Patent Office as a Patent Examiner, analyzing patent applications related to engine control systems. Currently, they are employed at Westport Fuel Systems, where they have held various positions including Senior Project Manager, Technical Project Lead, and currently, Product Management Director. At Westport Fuel Systems, they lead development projects for Natural Gas & Hydrogen ICE engine ECUs and has been involved in breakthrough projects in Hydrogen engines in Europe and India.
Jose Luis Blasco attended the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 1992 to 2000, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
