Graphic Designer at Westwood Professional Services

Emily Michaelsen started their work experience as a Student Ambassador at Concordia College from September 2012 to May 2015. During this time, they performed telemarketing tasks, gave guided tours to prospective students and their families, and provided office support.

In 2015, they worked as a Graphics Intern at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival where they created over 150 print and digital advertisements, maintained website content, and assisted with organizing special events.

From November 2015 to January 2016, Emily worked as a Graphic Designer at Merch Detective, where they assisted with website layout and content edits, provided graphic design services for various clients, and developed logos and brands.

Starting in 2016 and until June 2020, they were a Graphic Designer at Johnson Brothers Liquor Co. During their time there, Emily designed promotional materials for national wine and liquor brands, followed brand guidelines, and worked closely with internal sales representatives to meet client needs and deadlines.

From November 2020 to March 2021, they worked as a Graphic Designer at Fourteen Foods, where they created social media posts, designed exterior signage and flyers, and filmed and edited corporate update videos and campaigns.

In April and May 2021, Emily worked as a Graphic Designer at Collegis Education, collaborating on projects using Adobe XD, designing website prototypes, updating graphics for a blog post, and creating DCO advertisements for social media.

Recently, in November 2021, Emily started working as a Graphic Designer at Westwood Professional Services, where their current role is ongoing.

Emily Michaelsen attended Concordia College from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Graphic Design. In 2012, they also received a certification in Graphic Design Software (Adobe CS6) from Normandale Community College.
