Michael Pool Pe, Pls

Michael Pool, PE, PLS has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Michael is currently serving as a Survey Project Manager at Westwood Professional Services since March 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as a Project Manager at Atwell, LLC from January 2020 to March 2022.

From 2012 to 2020, Michael held various positions at Ascent Geomatics Solutions, including Data Management Group Leader, Engineering Manager, and Project Surveyor. In this role, they were responsible for directing and managing the design and preparation of grading plans, storm water management plans, and spill protection and contingency plans for oil and gas facility sites.

Before joining Ascent Geomatics Solutions, Michael worked as an Associate Surveyor at NV5 from 2006 to 2012. Prior to that, they served as an Assistant Engineer at Nolte Vertical Five from 2002 to 2006. Michael also gained experience as a Designer at RRM Design Group from 1998 to 2002 and as a Junior Engineer at Dyer Engineering from 1995 to 1998.

Michael's career began in 1992 when they worked as a Transportation Technician at Associated Transportation Engineers. Michael then served as an Engineering Assistant in the United States Air Force from 1987 to 1992.

Throughout their career, Michael Pool has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and skills in surveying, project management, data management, and engineering.

Michael Pool, PE, PLS has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering. Michael attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 1995 to 2001. Prior to that, they attended Cuesta College from 1994 to 1995 and Santa Barbara City College from 1992 to 1994. Additionally, they have obtained several professional certifications including Professional Engineer from the New Mexico Regulation & Licensing Department, the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, and the State of North Dakota. Michael is also a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Colorado. These certifications were obtained between 2006 and 2014.
