Yiannis Kapsalis

Yiannis Kapsalis is an accomplished security professional with extensive experience in various security roles. Currently serving as the Director of Security at WeTransfer since January 2020, Yiannis has also held positions such as Security Lead - Senior Engineering Manager and Lead Application Security Engineer. Prior experience includes a tenure at FortConsult, part of NCC Group, from January 2016 to December 2019 as a Senior Security Consultant, where responsibilities encompassed network and infrastructure penetration testing, red teaming, and mobile testing. Earlier roles at NNIT included Junior Consultant positions focused on operations architecture, security operations, and network operations. Yiannis began their career with internships at SBA Research, gaining hands-on experience in penetration testing and academic research. Educational qualifications include multiple Master's degrees in Security and Mobile Computing from institutions such as the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and Aalto University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Informatics and Telecommunications from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon.
