Matthew Sherwood

Matthew Sherwood is the current CEO at WeVidIt. Prior to this, they were the Director of Public Markets Investments at MMBB Financial Services where they oversaw all asset allocation and was responsible for research on Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Commodities, and Alternatives. Matthew also led all ESG integration and ESG metrics across all asset classes, as well as drafting the ESG policy and reporting frameworks. Additionally, they created new product, including climate change-sensitive (Fossil Fuel-Free) multi-asset class fund and a socially responsible fund offering for 18,000 investors. Before MMBB Financial Services, Sherwood worked as the Chief Strategist at Ivy Strategy where they performed extensive analysis of catalysts for upside and downside risks. Matthew also oversaw asset allocation modeling and research, and assessed ESG factors to identify any portfolio risks and opportunities. Prior to Ivy Strategy, Sherwood worked as a Sr. Proprietary Trader/Portfolio Manager at The Schonfeld Group where they managed a liquid multi-asset class portfolio with 7.2% outperformance of benchmark. Matthew then worked as a Portfolio Manager at Access Global Partners for 2 years 5 months before moving to Morgan Stanley to work in Private Wealth Management as an Advisor for 8 months.

Matthew Sherwood has a PhD in Business Administration from Northcentral University and an MBA in Finance, General from Liberty University. Matthew has also been a guest lecturer at Columbia University in the City of New York and The King's College, where they have taught courses on topics such as derivatives, asset allocation, sentiment analysis, ESG investing, and portfolio management.
