Michaela Shaw

Michaela Shaw is an experienced producer and educator in the performing arts sector, specializing in youth dance and diversity. Currently serving as a part-time Producer at Activate Performing Arts since February 2016 and a Lecturer in Performing Arts at Weymouth College since September 2016, Michaela has a strong background in participation and outreach, having previously held the position of Participation & Outreach Manager at Pavilion Dance South West and worked as Participation Dance Lead at Pavilion Dance. Michaela's earlier roles include a freelance dance teacher and choreographer at Weymouth Dance Studio and a long tenure at Stanmore College, where consistently achieved a Grade 1 (outstanding) rating for teaching and learning over five consecutive years. Michaela holds a BA(Hons) in Dance and English and Literary Studies from Middlesex University and a PGCE in Education from the University of Westminster.
