Mark Zonca

Mark Zonca has a diverse work experience in the media industry. Their most recent role was as an Assistant News Director at WFTS-TV since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked as an Executive Producer for Good Day Chicago at Fox Broadcasting Company from September 2016 to March 2020.

Before their time at Fox, Mark held the position of Senior Director of Communications at the Illinois Institute of Technology from September 2013 to September 2016. Mark successfully executed strategic communication initiatives, increasing brand recognition and media coverage.

Prior to that, Mark served as the Director of Digital Content at Benedictine University from March 2011 to September 2013, where they developed a successful digital media strategy and led public relations campaigns.

Mark also has experience as a Managing Editor at WGN-TV from March 2007 to March 2011, and as a Supervising News Producer at WBBM | CBS Chicago from 2003 to 2007.

Mark began their career in the media industry as a Freelance Television Producer at NBC Chicago in December 2002. Mark also worked as a Special Projects Producer at Fox Broadcasting Company from 1999 to 2002.

Prior to that, they served as a Newscast Producer at WFTS-TV from 1997 to 1999 and as a Producer and Writer at Spectrum Productions from 1996 to 1997.

Mark Zonca earned a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Central Michigan University.
