Alonzo Small is an experienced digital media professional with a robust background in content production and journalism. Currently serving as Digital Media Manager and Digital Content Producer at WGN-TV since January 2021, Small previously held the role of Digital Content Manager at WRIC Nexstar Media Group for three years, focusing on web and social media content creation. Small's proficiency includes utilizing analytics tools such as Google Analytics and mastering SEO practices, alongside skills in Adobe Creative Cloud applications. Prior to digital media roles, Small gained experience as a breaking news reporter for The News Journal Media Group, covering significant events in Delaware, and has a foundation in journalism through various internships and roles at VCU InSight and The Commonwealth Times. Small holds a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Virginia Commonwealth University and an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Tidewater Community College, with previous service as an Operations Specialist in the US Navy.
