Laura Trendle Polus

Laura Trendle Polus is an accomplished writer at WGN-TV since July 2023, bringing extensive experience in broadcast journalism. Previous roles include serving as News Director at TV-10 News at Illinois State University for two decades, and numerous leadership positions at the Illinois News Broadcasters Association, including President and Immediate Past President, where Laura was instrumental in policy-making and organization management. Laura's career began as a Newscast Producer at WISN-TV and WMBD-TV, contributing to the industry since the late 1980s. Laura holds a Master’s degree in Communication and a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, both from Illinois State University.
