Ed Goodall

Ed Goodall's work experience begins with their current role as the Head of Intergovernmental Engagement at Whale and Dolphin Conservation, which they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Green Whale Manager at the same organization from June 2021 to March 2023. In this role, they focused on cetacean ecosystem functioning, advanced scientific understanding and knowledge gaps through the Climate Giant Research Programme, and worked to understand and value the socio-economic benefits of restoring cetacean populations.

Before joining Whale and Dolphin Conservation, Ed served as a Project Manager at The Woodland Trust from September 2017 to June 2021. During this time, they led landscape scale partnership work to restore ancient woodlands and increase community engagement in nature across the South Downs National Park.

From August 2015 to August 2017, Ed worked as a Project Officer at Suffolk County Council. Prior to that, they were an Outreach and Education Officer at Veolia UK from September 2013 to August 2015. Ed also worked as a Business Development Assistant at EMCOR Group, Inc. from February 2011 to July 2013 and as an Energy Assessor at Renewables East from August 2010 to February 2011.

Ed's earliest work experience goes back to July 2006, when they worked as a Turtle Conservation Assistant at Projects Abroad for one month.

Ed Goodall earned a BSc (Hons) degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of East Anglia from 2007 to 2010.
