Bertrand Charry has a diverse range of work experience in the field of marine biology. Bertrand started their career as a student at McGill University from January 2015 to December 2017. During this time, they also worked as a Biologist at LGL Limited from July 2015 to August 2015.
In 2016, Bertrand worked as a Biologist at Mingan Island Cetacean Study for a short period of time in August and September. Bertrand then joined WWF-Canada as a Wildlife Biologist from May 2017 to January 2018.
Bertrand continued their work in marine biology with Fisheries and Oceans Canada, where they worked as a Biologist from October 2017 to January 2018. Bertrand later returned to Fisheries and Oceans Canada as a Technician EG-04 from June 2018 to August 2018.
In 2018, Bertrand joined Mingan Island Cetacean Study for a second time, this time as a Biologist from August 2018 to September 2018. Bertrand also worked as a Lead Biologist at Whale Seeker from October 2018 till present. At Whale Seeker, Bertrand focuses on R&D for automated cetacean detection using aerial and satellite images, as well as analysis and reporting.
Finally, in 2019, Bertrand continued their work as a Marine Biologist at Golder for a short period in August and then returned to Mingan Island Cetacean Study as a Marine Biologist in September.
Bertrand Charry completed their Bachelor of Sciences in Biology at Uqam. Bertrand then pursued further education at Université du Québec À Montréal (UQAM) where they obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Biology. Later, they enrolled at McGill University - Macdonald Campus and successfully completed their Master's degree in Natural Sciences.
