Ian Dunnett

Ian Dunnett is the Business Director at What3words. Ian has over 25 years of experience in commercial operations, strategic growth, and partnerships. Ian has worked with companies of all sizes to help them deliver their product roadmap and achieve their digital transformation.

Ian started their career in sales and marketing before moving into commercial operations. Ian spent 10 years at The Co-operative Group, where they were Head of Strategic Growth and Partnerships for Coop Digital. Ian was responsible for resetting relationships with digital and technology partners, introducing a new application suite to colleagues, and transforming the culture and ways of working across the co-op.

In 2018, Ian left The Co-operative Group to join Six Degrees Group as Head of Commercial Operations - Interim. Ian worked with the company for just over 4 months before joining What3words in January 2019.

At What3words, Ian is responsible for leading the commercial team and driving growth through partnerships and relationships with customers, businesses, and governments around the world.

Ian Dunnett has a Master of Science in Mathematical Finance from the University of Hull, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Philosophy (Hons) from the University of Hull. Ian also attended AMVC and Arthur Mellows Village College.

Ian Dunnett reports to Jo Clark, Head of Business Development Operations. They are on a team with and Geordie Palmer - Business Development Director.
