Derek Noah, PMP, has extensive work experience in project management. Derek is currently the Director of EPC & Strategic Projects at WHC Energy Services. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Project Manager in the same company.
Before joining WHC Energy Services, Derek worked as an EPC Project Manager, overseeing the design build process for two EPC expansion projects valued at $100 million. These projects aimed to add compression and pipeline facilities to the Midcoast East Texas pipeline system, increasing transmission capacity to Gulf Coast demand centers.
Earlier in their career, Derek held the position of Project Manager at AECOM where they managed project execution and reported on work performance, quantity surveys, subcontractor management, procurement, and project billing. Derek also facilitated regular conference calls with project stakeholders.
Derek gained valuable experience as a Project Manager at Sprint Pipeline Services, where they successfully executed project schedules for multi-million dollar construction projects including refinery pipeline work and leaching facilities. Derek'snotable projects included the Citgo ULSD Refinery in Corpus Christi, TX and the Perryville Gas Storage project in Winnsboro, LA.
Derek started their career as a Field Engineer at MDA Builders, working on a luxury high-rise condo project. Derek also served as a Construction Manager at Highland Homes.
With a strong background in project management, Derek Noah has demonstrated their ability to successfully lead and execute complex projects from planning to close-out, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery.
Derek Noah, PMP graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in 2006. Derek obtained their Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in May 2013.
